Poco X6 Pro Quick Review

Poco has a couple of new X Series mid-rangers, the Poco X6 and the Poco X6 Pro. Today, we’re talking about the Pro model. While both phones have a high-res OLED display and fast charging, the Pro model has a more powerful MediaTek chipset. It also comes with Xiaomi’s new Hyper OS interface out of the box, though the regular Poco X6 will get that via an update.

Poco X6 Pro are IP54 rated for dust and splash protection

In the black colorway, the X6 Pro’s back is glossy and mirror-like, made of plastic, attracting smudges and dust easily. The design is similar to other Pocos, with the big logo next to the cameras. Both the Poco X6 and Poco X6 Pro are IP54 rated for dust and splash protection. Still, submerging the phone wouldn’t be a good idea.

Camera on Poco X6 Pro

64MP main camera on poco x6 pro

The camera setup, similar to the non-Pro model, includes a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro camera. The main camera captures solid 16MP photos, with good detail and color accuracy. In low light, the automatic night mode activates in very dark conditions, producing well-exposed photos.

Videos

The X6 Pro records 4K videos with decent detail, but a bit artificial-looking. The electronic stabilization is not the best when walking. The ultra-wide camera’s output is decent, with limited dynamic range and slightly muted colors. The macro camera’s close-ups are underwhelming.

Selfies from the X6 Pro’s 16MP front camera have okay detail, with occasional white balance issues.

Conclusion

In summary, the Poco X6 Pro offers a high-res display, a powerful chipset, and a solid main camera, making it a recommendable mid-ranger.
